Profile

Haya Stier is Associate professor of Sociology and Labor Studies in the Faculty of Social Sciences. She Received her PhD in Sociology from the University of Chicago, in 1990. She holds a BA and an MA in Sociology from the Tel Aviv University. She is currently the chair of the Labor Studies department, and between 1998-2001 served as the director of the Institute for Social Research at Tel Aviv University.

Her main research interests are in the areas of Work and Family, Women in the Labor Market, Social Demography, and Poverty.
